In 1880, a dedicated horseman named W.F. Valentine devoted himself to perfecting a new product which would prevent and treat hoof problems. So he set out to make the transportation of the day, more reliable, and have healthier hooves. Proud of the product's high quality and effectiveness, Mr. Valentine was not afraid to put his own name on the label. He named it, quite simply, Valentine's Hoof Ointment.™

At W.F. Valentine & Co., we produce eight products in the company's manufacturing facility in northern Michigan. We personally supervise the purchase of all raw materials which go into our products, the mixing of those materials, the packaging of the finished products, and the final shipping to our customers. We are a family owned and operated company whose reputation and century-long heritage are its greatest assets. Our goal is to maintain the integrity of our product and the loyalty of our customers.
